Capital’s trainers have been delivering intern and graduate programmes for over fifteen years. We provide programmes for some of the world’s premier investment banks, commercial banks, boutiques, corporate finance houses and wealth and fund managers. We have run/currently run graduate programmes in New York, London, Singapore, Malaysia and mainland China. We have an established range of technical products and services to support this core area of our business:
- pre-course testing
- eLearning through our Capital-E.co.uk web platform
- pre-reading and exercises to establish basic knowledge
- a range of technical reference manuals for graduates
- hosting capabilities for courses run using iPad or Kindle based materials
- tailored classroom seminars
- post-course testing and appraisal
Graduate audiences have varied academic backgrounds, cultures and experiences and Capital’s experience in dealing with such variety will ensure that the people in whom you are investing will be given the best possible start to their careers. The aim of our programmes is to be a commercially focused compliment to the regulatory exams and qualification focused courses that they may subsequently pursue. A graduate with good basic technical skills, some job-specific vocational training and a broad commercial perspective on the business should be an asset to the business from day one. We routinely embed your processes, technology, procedures and role based case studies into our programmes: delegates get to their desk having already experienced the job and your organisation.
We understand the businesses and the different roles that delegates will be entering and have experts on hand covering everything from trade finance and credit to merger modelling to structured products in wealth management. Each programme is tailored to the specific needs of the firm and the graduate mix. We don’t have a fixed technical agenda to promote. Our training methodology has been developed to maximise variety and effectiveness. This will involve group and individual work, oral presentations and written submissions. Continuous development case studies, containing both real world/live transactions and hypothetical scenarios, form the backbone of the programme. These practical applications enable delegates to gain a true insight into how an investment bank, commercial bank or find and wealth manager operates.
In addition to core technical skills training we also offer a broad range of management development & interpersonal skills training which can be embedded within a graduate programme. We also routinely provide extensive feedback and embed delegate assessment into our programmes through tests, group case studies, presentations and assessed written work.
Our support doesn’t have to end with the graduate programme. We can work with you to design an integrated development process which can span the years from new entrant through to Director.
