Maggie’s training expertise is focused on investment management, regulation, compliance and derivatives. She brings a wealth of practical experience to each course and ensures the subject is brought to life with examples and anecdotes from many years hands-on experience of running investment funds and portfolios.
Prior to founding MSConsultants, Maggie worked as an international equities portfolio manager and investment analyst.
Her most recent investment role was at Capital House, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group. Its client base included local authority and corporate superannuation schemes and High Net Worth Individuals.
Maggie was responsible for international equity analysis and stock selection for the institutional portfolios, was a member of the Tactical Asset Allocation team, attended client presentations and new pitches, meetings advisers and writing client reports.
In addition to running institutional portfolios, Maggie ran onshore and offshore retail funds, specialising in European equity markets.
Prior to Capital House, Maggie worked as an international equities analyst at Robert Fleming Securities and, before that, as a UK equities analyst at Clerical Medical & General, now part of the HBoS group.
Maggie is a Fellow of the CFAUK and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI).
Maggie is a firm believer of improving standards in the asset management industry. She has previously been actively engaged with several examination panels, including the CISI Qualifications Assessment Board and was instrumental in development of the IMC examination for the IIMR (now CFAUK).
Maggie is the author of several books on markets, derivatives and portfolio management.
She has been a guest speaker on a number of MBA programmes, including the City University Business School, Roffey Park Management Institute and Henley Management College.
