Jeffery is recognised as one of the leading practitioners in the fields of Project Finance and Banking. His career as a leading partner and ex-Global Head of the Norton Rose Fulbright Projects Practice spans over 30 years.
As well as having held a number of management positions within Norton Rose Fulbright he sits on the London Council of the Confederation of British Industry. He is heavily involved in promoting the City’s interests and chairs the Infrastructure and Energy Group of theCityUK. He also co-chairs the MENA Committee of the International Project Finance Association and is a non-executive Board Member. He also sits on UKTI’s Supervisory Board for their High Value Opportunities Programme.
He has had a heavy involvement in numerous Infrastructure and Energy Projects, in particular in the Middle East, and has acted on most of the I(W)PPs in the region since he led the team advising lenders on the US$1 Billion financing for the Taweelah A1 IWPP in Abu Dhabi.
He is Deputy Chairman of the Cook Society and is a visiting professor at London and Metropolitan University.
Jeffery supports a number of Children’s Charities and is regularly involved in fund raising activities on their behalf. He is on the Advisory Board of Beanstalk (previously VRH) and is a Patron of the Dyspraxia Foundation. He also actively supports Snowcamp, Cricket for Change and Wooden Spoon.
Alongside his distinguished career as a legal practitioner in Banking and Project Finance, Jeffery was also responsible for the founding of a number of business units with Norton Rose and the Company’s HR and training department. Jeffery has over the years designed and run numerous training events for clients, internally at Norton Rose and for public training course providers.
Before beginning his legal career at Norton Rose Fulbright, Jeffery played cricket professionally for Middlesex County Cricket Club.
